About the role:
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of tyfone. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential community FI customers, building strong relationships, and promoting our digital solutions to address their unique needs. Your ability to understand financial institutions’ challenges and present our technology as a transformative solution will be instrumental in expanding our customer base and increasing our market share.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Conduct market research to identify potential customers in the financial services industry that represents our ideal target market. Utilize various channels, including online research, networking, cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, in-person events, and other tools to generate and qualify leads.
- Customer Engagement: Initiate contact with prospects to understand their business challenges, needs, and goals. Clearly articulate the value proposition of our various solutions and position it as tailored to their requirements.
- Product Presentation: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our solutions. Adapt the presentation to suit the specific needs and interests of each potential client.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with prospects, key decision-makers, and stakeholders. Nurture long-term partnerships to drive customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align strategies and drive lead conversion. Provide valuable insights from interactions with prospects to continuously improve our marketing and sales efforts.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Track and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate data entry in Salesforce. Strive to meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the financial services sector. Use this knowledge to position our solutions competitively.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 1-3 years experience in sales/business development.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role.
within the financial services or fintech industry is preferred. - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong understanding of financial services institutions’ needs, challenges, and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events –approximately 25% of time open to travel.
