About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Marketing Communications Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping our brand narrative, voice, and tone across various communication channels, specifically tailored for the B2B SaaS market within credit unions and banks. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, with a proven track record in crafting compelling content, including blogs, email campaigns, white papers, op-eds, and speaking submissions in the financial sector.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Narrative Development:
    – Lead the development and refinement of the company’s narrative for the B2B SaaS market for credit unions and banks, ensuring alignment with industry trends and a consistent brand voice and tone across all communications.
    – Collaborate with key stakeholders to align messaging with company goals and values.
  • Content Creation:         
    – Create engaging and high-quality content tailored to the fintech sector, including blogs, articles, white papers, op-eds, and speaking submissions, catering to financial institution audiences.
    Develop compelling storytelling that resonates with the unique technology challenges and opportunities of credit unions and banks.
  • Marketing Communication Strategy:        
    – Plan, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing communication strategies aligned with company objectives.
    – Coordinate with the marketing team to integrate communication strategies across various channels and tailor them for financial institutions.
  • Thought Leadership and Industry Representation:        
    – Conceptualize and craft thought leadership pieces, including white papers, opinion editorials, and speaking submissions, positioning the company as an industry leader.
    – Foster relationships with industry leaders, and media, to amplify the company’s presence and thought leadership.
  • Brand Messaging and Tone:        
    – Establish and maintain brand messaging guidelines, ensuring consistency in all communications.
    – Maintain a distinct and impactful brand tone that resonates with our audience and industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:        
    – Work closely with cross-functional teams, including leadership, marketing, product, and sales, to align communication strategies with overall business objectives.
    – Collaborate with external agencies, or partners as needed for content creation.
  • Social Media & Email Content:        
    – Write compelling and relevant content for social media platforms to promote content and drive engagement and brand awareness.
    – Write engaging email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and other communication materials.
  • Proofreading & Editing:        
    – Serve as the final checkpoint for all content, ensuring accuracy, coherence, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.
    – Edit and proofread documents, ensuring high-quality and error-free content before publication.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, preferably in a role within the B2B SaaS sector for credit unions and banks.
  • Proven expertise in crafting various types of content tailored for the financial sector.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a focus on financial technology and industry nuances.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate complex technology and concepts into compelling narratives tailored for financial institutions.
  • Experience in thought leadership initiatives and industry representation within the financial space.
  • Ability to adapt communication styles for diverse audiences and platforms.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and relevant tools.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
