- Conceptualization & Ideation: Translate user needs, business requirements, and product strategy into compelling design concepts. Create user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
- UI/UX Design: Design intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces for web and mobile platforms that are tailored to a youth audience while meeting the needs of parents and financial institutions.
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop interactive prototypes at various fidelities to test and iterate on design concepts with users and internal stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Sr. Product Manager and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure design feasibility and a high-quality end product.
- Design System & Standards: Contribute to and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the Incent platform.
- Financial Habit Focus: Incorporate design principles that measure financial maturation into design solutions, making it clear that our features are helping young users develop good financial habits.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in product design, youth-focused technology, financial technology, and accessibility best practices.
- Documentation: Clearly document design processes, user flows, and interaction specifications to support development and ensure clarity within the team
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product design or UX/UI design, with a portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and shipped products (web and mobile preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design.
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, remote team environment and manage multiple projects in an agile setting.
