OnPoint expands membership to Cowlitz, Lewis counties in southwest Washington.
The Portland-based credit union received regulatory approval to extend services, continuing its growth across the region.
OnPoint Community Credit Union, the largest credit union headquartered in Oregon, announced it has expanded its field of membership to include Cowlitz and Lewis counties in Washington, following regulatory approval.
The move allows individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in those counties to join the credit union, which already serves members in nearby Clark and Skamania counties. OnPoint says the expansion is part of its strategy to grow its presence and deepen community ties in the region.
“We are grateful to have received regulatory approval for this expansion,” said Amy Reeves, senior vice president and regional manager for southwest Washington. “This authorization reflects our commitment to meeting the financial needs of our community and extending our member-first philosophy to more people across southwest Washington. We look forward to building relationships with members in Cowlitz and Lewis counties, providing the same quality service our members have come to expect.”

Founded in 1932, OnPoint serves more than 631,000 members and manages $9.6 billion in assets across Oregon and southwest Washington. Membership is open to individuals who live or work in 28 Oregon counties and, with the expansion, now four counties in Washington.
OnPoint currently operates seven branches in southwest Washington and plans to open another in Ridgefield in early 2026. The new branch, to be located at 420 N. 56th Place, Suite 102, reflects both the population growth in the area and OnPoint’s continued investment in its service network.
In addition to its Washington growth, OnPoint earlier this year announced a renewed commitment to downtown Portland, signing a lease for a new branch and expanded office space to support its commercial, nonprofit, and small business banking teams.
Despite broadening its geographic footprint and commercial services, OnPoint reported a 10% year-over-year decrease in earnings for the first nine months of 2025, totaling roughly $95 million, according to call report data from the National Credit Union Administration.
“This authorization reflects our commitment to meeting the financial needs of our community and extending our member-first philosophy to more people across southwest Washington.”
