Clark County Credit Union rebrands as Create, signaling broader ambitions.
The Las Vegas-based institution said the name change reflects a new chapter focused on growth and member empowerment while maintaining its core mission.
Clark County Credit Union has begun transitioning to a new name, Create Credit Union, marking a significant rebranding effort for the $1.6 billion-asset institution as it looks to expand its reach and modernize its identity.
The change, announced this month, is “simply a name and branding” update, with no impact to members’ accounts, services or relationships, according to information published on the credit union’s website.
Based in Las Vegas, the credit union earned $14.8 million in 2025, up from $13.2 million the prior year, continuing a pattern of steady financial performance as it enters a new phase of its evolution.
The new name, Create Credit Union, is intended to reflect a broader vision beyond its historical geographic ties. The institution said the rebrand represents an effort to position itself for future growth while continuing its longstanding focus on helping members achieve their financial goals.
Leadership has emphasized that while the name and visual identity will change across branches, digital platforms and communications, the organization’s core values will remain intact. Those include a member-first approach, community connection and personalized service — hallmarks of the credit union model.

The transition comes as the institution approaches a milestone period in its history. Founded in 1951 to serve local government employees, the credit union has grown into a regional financial provider with tens of thousands of members and multiple branches across Southern Nevada.
Executives said the updated brand is designed to better align with the organization’s long-term strategy, including expanding services and reaching new audiences across the state. The name “Create” is meant to evoke opportunity, growth and the ability for members to shape their financial futures.
Importantly, the credit union stressed that the rebrand is not tied to a merger or acquisition, but rather represents an organic evolution of the organization. Members will continue to access the same products, digital banking tools and branch services they have today, with the transition occurring gradually over the coming weeks.
The move places the institution among a growing number of credit unions seeking to refresh their brands as competition intensifies and digital banking reshapes how financial services are delivered.
By adopting a more expansive name, Create Credit Union aims to signal both continuity and change — preserving its cooperative roots while positioning itself for a broader future.
Create Credit Union now serves more than 60,000 members, including municipal employees (Clark County, city of Henderson, city of Las Vegas, and city of North Las Vegas), medical professionals, members of Nevada Public Radio (KNPR), and other employer groups, and operates six branches in Southern Nevada, with two more branches planned for Pahrump and east Las Vegas.
