Bethpage FCU turning over a new leaf
The 15th largest credit union in the U.S. will become FourLeaf FCU early next year.
Bethpage Federal Credit Union is rebranding to become FourLeaf Federal Credit Union.
Bethpage, the fifteenth largest credit union in the nation by assets, said the change is expected to take effect in the first quarter of 2025 and will include a new logo and color update.
The FourLeaf name represents the credit union’s commitment to growth, prosperity and abundance for its members and the communities it has served for the past 83 years, the company said in a press release Wednesday.
“As we navigate an ever-evolving landscape, we recognize the importance of adapting to meet the changing needs of our members and our markets and exploring new ways to grow and expand,” said Linda Armyn, Bethpage FCU’s President and CEO.
The $13.4 billion-asset credit union in Bethpage, New York, said the new logo was designed to reflect the future, using two intertwined infinity symbols, keeping the orange color to celebrate Bethpage’s history and returning to a deeper blue to honor its Grumman founders.
The credit union was founded for employees of Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation in 1941.
The credit union now has nearly 484,000 members that it serves with 36 branches. Over the past year, Bethpage opened four new branch locations including Sunnyside, Queens; Ozone Park, Queens; Cherry Hill, New Jersey; and the new Station Yards community in Ronkonkoma.
A branch in Forest Hills, Queens, will be opening in early 2025 along with two other Queens locations later in the year.
Several other credit unions have announced notable rebrands in 2024, including Lake Jackson, Texas-based TDECU, which will acquire the Space City brand after its planned merger with Space City Credit Union.
Bethpage FCU earned roughly $46 million through the third quarter of 2024, a 19% increase from a year earlier, according to call report data from the National Credit Union Administration.
“This rebrand comes at a time when we are stronger than ever. We are well-prepared to create and embrace new opportunities that will enhance the members’ experience, expand our reach, and enrich lives in even more communities.”
