Tyfone’s CEO Narendra named an Innovator of the Year finalist
Tyfone CEO and Co-Founder Siva Narendra was named a finalist in the American Banker 2024 Innovator of the Year Awards.
The trade publication named Narendra one of the 20 people doing the most this year to move financial services into the future, particularly in digital banking and fintech.
The publication said the awards are aimed at honoring people at financial institutions and fintech firms “who are coming up with fresh ideas or surfacing them and bringing them to life.”
Judges consider qualities such as leadership, teamwork and personal initiative, demonstrated through action, as well as the innovative aspects of the project the person spearheaded.
Narendra, who helped launch Tyfone in 2004, has served as the company’s CEO since 2011.
“We hope to see the credit union industry become the leader in personalized, community-focused digital financial services, blending the best of local trust with cutting-edge technology,” Narendra said. “By 2025, credit unions should be able to match or exceed the digital experience offered by big banks while retaining their distinct focus on member relationships.”
Portland, Oregon-based Tyfone, a leader in digital banking solutions, also won the Credit Union Times Luminaries Award for innovation in mobile banking.
Earlier this year, Tyfone was named a Best Place to Work in Fintech by American Banker.
